Overview
Nepal has some of the most breathtaking treks on the planet. The best treks in Nepal are listed below, including classics like Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, and Langtang, as well as newer treks like Manaslu Circuit Trek and Nar Phu Valley Trek.
If you want to go trekking in Nepal, keep reading to find out which trek is right for you.
1.Trekking the Everest Three Passes
Renjo La Pass (17,585 ft. / 5360 m) offers a spectacular view of Mt. Everest.
For those with three weeks to spare, the Three Passes Trek takes you over three 5,000m+ passes and is the best way to truly experience the Everest Region. The trek includes sections of the Everest Base Camp Trek, but crossing the Renjo La, Cho La, and Kongma La passes provides even more spectacular views of the Himalayan giants. The Three Passes trek can be combined with other Everest Base Camp Trek variations.
A 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla will get you to the trailhead.

2.Trek around Manaslu
Since 2010, new lodges have been built, making the Manaslu Circuit Trek more accessible. The trek has everything a classic Himalayan trek should have: deep, lush valleys at lower elevations, incredible views of 8,000m peaks, and a 5,000m+pass crossing—while remaining largely unspoiled by tourists.
Despite its growing popularity and recent road construction, the Manaslu Circuit remains remote and attracts fewer trekkers than Nepal’s more well-known classic treks.
The drive from Kathmandu to the trailhead takes 8 hours.

3. Trek to Everest Base Camp
One of the world’s most well-known treks is the Everest Base Camp Trek. Its reputation is well-deserved, thanks to its history, beautiful views, and the Sherpa culture you’ll encounter on the trek. However, due to the trek’s popularity, the main trails are frequently crowded. This is why we rank other Everest region treks higher on our list (Three Passes Trek and Gokyo Lakes). Despite the crowds, Everest Base Camp remains a fantastic trek that deserves to be considered one of Nepal’s best.

4. Trek to Annapurna Base Camp
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes you to the foot of Annapurna South, deep within the Annapurna Massif. Because the views are less expansive and more vertical than on most other classic treks, you’ll find yourself looking almost straight up at the mountains towering above you.

5.Upper Mustang Trek
In comparison to almost all other treks in Nepal, the Upper Mustang Trek’s arid valley has a unique landscape. This region is in the Himalaya’s desert rain shadow, with its many shades of brown and crumbling sandstone cliffs. Mustang was once its own kingdom, and the strong Tibetan influences make this a culturally fascinating trek.
To get to the trailhead, take two connecting flights: Kathmandu to Pokhara (25 minutes) and Pokhara to Jomsom (45 minutes) (20 minutes).

6.Trekking in Langtang
The Langtang trek is a heartfelt adventure. The trails and guesthouses have been rebuilt, and trekkers have returned after a two-year hiatus following the 2015 earthquake.
The trek takes you through beautiful forests to the high alpine meadows and yak pastures surrounding Kyangjin Gompa (a Buddhist monastery), with an optional day hike to the summit of Kyangjin Ri (peak).
A 7-hour drive from Kathmandu takes you to the trailhead.

7.Trek to Gokyo Lakes
The Gokyo Lakes Trek, like the Three Passes Trek, has sections that are similar to the classic Everest Base Camp Trek but takes you into a valley west of Everest. The beautiful lakes at Gokyo, located at around 5,000 metres, are the main attraction. Trekkers can then climb Gokyo Ri (5,357m/17,575ft), a rocky peak with one of Mt Everest’s best expansive views.

8.Trekking the Dhaulagiri Circuit
The Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most difficult treks due to its high elevation, with three days of trekking over snow above 5,000 metres and no easy way down. This trek, however, is an unforgettable adventure that takes you into the heart of some of the world’s highest mountains if you have experience and are up for the challenge.
To get to the trailhead, take a 25-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, then drive for 2 hours; or take an 8-hour drive from Kathmandu.
