HDMI Cable Manufacturer Certification

HDMI is a standard for connecting audio and video devices. It supports a variety of resolutions and colors.

High-speed HDMI cables must be able to handle the deluge of data required for 4K and HDR content. That means they need to have a lot of bandwidth.

Customization

HDMI is the global connectivity standard for HDTV and consumer electronics, carrying digital audio and video signals at resolutions up to 4K. It also supports multi-channel surround sound and intelligent command data.

HDMI cable is used for a plasma television, high-definition players, LCD TV, rear projection TV,set-top boxes, DVD players, personal computers, video game instruments, comprehensive expansion machines and digital stereo. It can transmit uncompressed video and audio signals at a maximum speed of 5 GBPS.

The latest version of HDMI cables is a lot better than previous versions in terms of quality and performance. Using a custom HDMI cable for your project is the best way to ensure premium sound and picture quality.

A good HDMI cable manufacturer will help you select the right cables for your application and ensure that they are made with high-quality materials. This will reduce the risk of wires getting damaged and compromising the functionality of your devices.

Design

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is the global connectivity standard for transmitting uncompressed video and audio data from a source device, such as a display controller, to a compatible computer monitor, digital television or digital audio device.

HDMI cables are available in a variety of lengths, thicknesses, colors and prices. However, there are certain aspects to consider when selecting an HDMI cable for your application.

The most common type of HDMI connector is the 14mm version, also known as a ‘Type A’, which can be found on most devices and AV equipment in your home or business. Other types include a micro-USB version, Type C, and Type D.

High-Speed HDMI is a newer, more advanced version of the standard that supports higher resolutions and refresh rates than standard HDMI cables. Using HDMI versions 1.3 to 1.4a, these cables provide up to 10Gbps bandwidth and support features like deep color and 3D graphics.

These types of cables also support a number of new features, including Enhanced ARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), eARC, and Auto Low Latency Mode. These features help improve the gaming experience by reducing latency and allowing for quality media switching.

Testing

HDMI, which stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface, is the global connectivity standard that combines uncompressed HD video, surround audio and intelligent command data in a single cable. It’s used to connect devices such as television sets, DVD players, computers and more.

In order to ensure the quality and performance of HDMI cables, HDMI cable manufacturers offer a testing service. The testing service includes a series of tests to verify that the cable is capable of delivering the desired signals to a TV set.

The testing process is usually carried out in an Authorized Testing Center (ATC) where a cable must pass a series of tests before it can be certified to HDMI. Once the ATC approves the cable, it will issue a certificate.

Certification

HDMI Licensing, the industry organization that sets cable standards, has approved a new certification and testing program for HDMI Cable Manufacturers. If an HDMI cable passes these tests, it will come with the Premium HDMI Cable Certification label.

Those cables will also have an anti-counterfeit label and a special smartphone app that scans them for their authenticity. Consumers can use this app to confirm that the cable is legitimate, and will be able to see which manufacturer made it.

In addition, UL will be offering electromagnetic interference (EMI) compliance testing to confirm that cables don’t interfere with wireless signals. This is another important step for consumers to ensure that they are getting the most out of their HDTVs and other devices.

The Premium HDMI Cable Certification Program will be available to HDMI Adopters via the HDMI Adopter extranet and participating HDMI Forum Authorized Test Centers (ATCs) are ready to accept cables for testing. Once the cable passes the testing requirements, it will carry the Premium HDMI Cable Certification label and a special anti-counterfeit authentication label to differentiate it from other HDMI cables.
